Description

Orange Mozambique Tilapia – 2–3 cm Juveniles


Healthy juvenile orange strain Oreochromis mossambicus available (2–3 cm). A hardy, fast-growing species widely used in aquaculture, aquaponics and fishing ponds.


Ideal for ponds and tanks that stay above 16 °C. Very well suited to warm South African conditions and variable water quality.


General info & care:


  • Maximum size: up to 35–40 cm
  • Fast growth with good feeding and warm water
  • Extremely hardy and adaptable
  • Omnivorous (pellets, plant matter, algae)
  • Suitable for large tanks, RAS systems and ponds
  • Will breed readily if conditions allow

These are my first ones, I have big numbers coming through in succession. The big fish at the end of the photos are of the adults. The breeders are not for sale. I will try take better pictures, these are a bit blurry.
