A beautiful small nano fish that looks like a mini version of a trout, common names include Galaxy Rasbora or Celestial Pearl Danio (CPD) but the species is Celestichthys margaritatus. This fish is no more than 3cm when fully grown so it is perfect for smaller tanks or a big group in larger tanks.Price is R79 per fish, we recommend at least 6 of this species, They really thrive in groups of 10 or more. They are very shy so the more of them you purchase the more confidence they will have. The size of the fish will vary, anywhere from juvenile to adult but NOT fry. Generally they will be 2 - 6 months of age. 2 months being a juvenile and 6 months a full grown adult. We do not guarantee males or females, we send a random mix.All the CPD's are bred by me in outdoor ponds and tubs without heaters. They are super hardy and are exposed to temperature changes with the seasons, this does not mean you should put them in a cold pond that does not get sun or keep them outside in areas that experience extreme heat or cold. They are raised in tubs with covers in winter that are in full sun and in summer they are raised in open ponds in partial shade. I am in Cape Town where the weather is perfect for my outdoor bred fish. You can order online at Valley Aquariums and we send via express courier
