Who we are

We pride ourselves in playing a crucial role in the transition towards a more sustainable economy through the development of projects from concept to financial closure by providing Front-End Engineering Design & Front-End Project Management services by positioning the organisation at the nexus of the green economy of the inter-linkage of water, energy, and agriculture and waste. The focus of this role is within the energy sector providing engineering and advisory consultancy services.

Role

You will ultimately be working towards executing small entry level projects, but to ensure that you are properly prepared for the role, you will be going through a formal training programme that has been tailor-made to empower Millennials with the transition towards the corporate environment.

Given the high unemployment rates amongst the youth, the inability to cope with the real life demands of corporate life and the lack of exposure to the core engineering functions which results in inadequate experience, numerous individuals are sitting without the necessary experience to enter the corporate world. We understand that Millennials have been dealt a bad hand, and that the problem is getting worst. We don’t expect the program to be the silver bullet but it does include key areas of development of an engineer towards registration as a professional through the development of fundamental engineering skills such as research, calculations, report writing, and ultimately complex problem solving.

Ultimately, through effectively working through the requirements of the program, the individual should be equipped apply basic engineering skills with the ability to fulfil a role as an engineer with minimal supervision.

In addition to this, skills for the future of work would also be transferred through the program, with the personal choice for the development of at least one such a skill.

Depending on the level of commitment and the candidate’s working arrangement, there is an opportunity to work closely with a professionally registered engineer, whom have personally executed projects with a capital value of R6 million to R22 million, and as part of a project team projects with a capital value of R350 million to R6 billion within the green building, industrial and energy sectors.

He has successfully mentored and developed junior engineers and his track record includes bringing project values down from R70 million to R22 million by taking the project through the proper lifecycles, managing contracts from feasibility to commissioning, optimising engineering designs by bringing the cost down by 15% and developing project specific specifications.
