Our client, a leading supplier, agent and manufacturer of large-scale machinery for food and beverage manufacturers across the globe, is looking to employ an experienced, hard-working and capable artisan in the role of senior service technician involved in the installation, maintenance & servicing can seamers and end-of-line packaging machinery, for food and beverage companies. The job is specifically earmared for an experienced *Can Seamer Technician*. This position is based at *Jet Park*, *Johannesburg*. The primary tasks include: * Installation & commissioning of end-of-line packaging equipment – specifically can seamers for the beverage industry * Repairs, maintenance & fault-finding on equipment * Manage all maintenance parts * Deal directly with overseas suppliers * Communicate directly with customers * Provide training for technicians & staff in customer’s factories * Audit equipment The successful candidate must have: * National Senior Certificate * Minimum required qualification: Fitter & Turner (Trade Tested) * 8 - 10 years’ experience working on can seamers and end-of-line packaging equipment * Excellent knowledge & experience of can seamers in the beverage industry * Have strong mechanical fitting experience * Excellent computer skills * A service driven approach to dealing with customers * Able to cope under pressure and respond quickly to customer requests * A professional manner, with excellent interpersonal & communication skills * Fluent in English and Afrikaans * Presentable and confident to deal directly with customers * Flexible and willing to work longer hours when required * Willing to travel * Driver’s license R540 000 to R640 000 per annum ctc.
