HouseME is looking to recruit an outstanding Rental Services Manager to Lead our growing Key Accounts portfolio.


  • Oversee the ongoing customer relationships with key account customers, the most notable of which being the V&A Waterfront
  • Drive the achievement of revenue targets (new revenue & renewals)
  • Manage the Key Account Manager team which provides rental services (noting that this team is in its very early stages, with significant scope for growth)
  • Ensure accuracy of leasing documentation and reports for key accounts, including timeous delivery
  • Ensure services provided to key account customers deliver on the HouseME value proposition and comply with services agreements at all times
  • Monitor rental industry trends and provide information and insights to key customers


  • Traditional long-term residential rental services
  • Own the partnership relationship with key services providers, the most significant of which being the maintenance service provider
  • Oversee quality control of in-person services provided by HouseME (viewings, inspections, key-hand-overs or other rental services carried out by a network of contract staff)
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations at all times
  • Make vetting decisions in cases of complicated tenant applications
  • Handle legal disputes, including (but not limited to) disputes regarding early cancellation penalties, maintenance work and deposit pay-outs (with support from the company Principal Agents)
  • Ensure an excellent level of customer service is maintained at all times
  • Train staff on real estate practices to ensure continuous improvement and performance to targets


  • Have a minimum of 4 years of work experience in real estate with a minimum of 2 years of recent work experience in long-term residential rentals; valid FFC at time of applying preferable (full status agents or higher favoured)
  • Comfort with interpreting and applying the terms of residential lease agreements, the Rental Housing Act, the Consumer Protection Act, FIC Act and other applicable legislation
  • Ability to work under pressure, deliver results timeously, and proficient in the use of technology to optimise processes
  • A passion for changing the status quo, with a desire to work in a tech company and ambition to make a big impact
  • Willingness carry out a range of tasks required by the business and prepared to adapt to changes in tasks as the company expands
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; multiple languages a bonus
  • Clear evidence of attention to detail in application submission


  • Based in the Cape Town Head Office (Covid-19 remote work can be discussed)
  • Fixed monthly salary with a monthly performance incentive for performance to targets (not commission-based)
