Leading Financial Trading company based in Claremont looking for a Junior Sys Admin / Desktop Support to join the team.

Install and maintain network hardware and software.
Maintain and troubleshoot LAN, WAN and internet network infrastructure.
This includes firewall, router and switching equipment.
Regular network health checks.
Problem determination and resolution.
Support Linux & Windows servers (Physical and virtualized systems).
Configure and maintain Network and Data centre monitoring, alerting and trend analyses.
Participating as a member of the after-hours standby team.
Performing maintenance after-hours and on weekends as and when required.
Providing 1st level user support.
Maintain constant liaison between infrastructure and Intrusion Detection System. Handle all alerts and respond accordingly
Deployment of new user equipment
Maintenance of company software and hardware asset register
1 - 2 years relevant experience in a similar role.
Experience with Office365, Active Directory and Microsoft Server Infrastructure.
Experience managing virtual and physical server environments.
Basic experience in network administration.
Experience in maintaining Cisco networking equipment (NXOS and IOS)
Experience managing and troubleshooting basic networks.
1 - 2 years’ experience in Linux & Windows server environments.
Experience in scripting essential, Bash or Python would be preferable.
Use of automated deployment platforms (jenkins, ansible) would be advantageous.
Experience with network monitoring tools similar to Zabbix and ELK stack would be advantageous
Experience with workflow & code management platforms (Atlassian Suite or similar).
Working experience with proxying software such as Nginx or HAProxy.
