General Details
Description
- General Administration
- Perform daily administrative duties and office support
- Maintain accurate filing systems (physical and electronic)
- Manage emails, calls, and general correspondence
- Production & Operations Support
- Capture production data (timber output, cutting, wastage)
- Process job cards, delivery notes, and operational documents
- Liaise with yard and mill staff to ensure accurate paperwork
- Dispatch & Logistics
- Prepare delivery notes and dispatch documentation
- Coordinate with drivers and customers regarding deliveries
- Ensure all outgoing loads are correctly documented
- Invoicing & Accounts Support
- Generate and issue customer invoices
- Capture supplier invoices
- Assist with basic accounts receivable and payable
- Follow up on outstanding payments when required
- Stock Control Support
- Maintain stock records (logs, timber, finished goods)
- Capture stock movements and assist with stock counts
- Support stock reconciliations
- Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant
- Assist with basic operational and financial reporting
- Maintain confidentiality of company information
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- 25 years administrative experience (manufacturing/sawmill advantageous)
- Basic accounting knowledge (invoicing, reconciliations)
- Strong Excel and general computer skills
- Experience with QuickBooks,Bookkeeping,Xero (advantageous)
