1962 Alfa Romeo Spider Giulietta

One of the best examples of an Alfa Spider that I have seen - in concourse condition. Owned and restored by the same owner for nearly 35 years.

Definitely one of the better ones around!

Many hours of labour and love has been put into this magnificent vehicle. No short cuts have been taken with this Spider.

The car was completely stripped down to a shell and repainted inside and out. New imported sills were also fitted to the car.

The engine, carburettors, gearbox and differential have been completely rebuilt. The car is currently fitted with a mid 60s 1600 Alfa engine, which as I mentioned was completely rebuilt. The original engine comes with the car. Included in the deal are bearings, sleeves, rings, gaskets and so forth to completely rebuild the original engine. The exhaust system was also replaced in a factory spec stainless steel system.

The cooling system has also been redone with a new radiator fitted, water pump and cooling hoses.

The interior has been completely redone with new genuine alfa rubber floor mats, dash, seats and soft top. The original hard top accompanies the vehicle. The instrument binicals have also been refurbished. The wiring harness has been replaced with an imported unit.

Both front and rear suspensions have been rebuilt with new rubbers and components.

All the chrome work has been rechromed on the car.

The braking system was fully overhauled and is in perfect mechanical order, like the rest of the car.

This tedious restoration took about 4 years to complete, by the owner who is a passionate and very knowledgeable Alfa Romeo expert. About 1000km has only been done since the rebuild. The Spider will come with a ton of new and used parts as well.

Car is sold with a roadworthy certificate. Cars papers and license is up to date.
