Senior Accountant

Our client, a leader in their field with a strong history of success seeks a Senior Accountant to work in a group level type role reporting to the MD. The business is built on providing top service, professionalism, teamwork and teamwork.
Newly created role. Ideal start January 2026. Based in the beautiful Garden Route of South Africa in the city of George.

What you will be doing:

• Develop financial strategies and forecasts
• Prepare and manage budgets
• Produce financial reports and statements
• Monitor and manage cash flow
• Oversee investment strategies and cost control measures
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations
• Manage financial systems and lead the finance team
• Support strategic planning and stakeholder communication
• Handle mergers, acquisitions, and due diligence
• Perform VAT, PAYE, and CIPC submissions
• Process month-end journals and maintain asset register
• Assist auditors and manage SARS queries

What we are looking for:

• MInimum of Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or CA(SA) or similar
• Proven experience in accounting or similar role no less than 5 years in a senior accountant role
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and compliance
• Proficiency in MS Office and financial software (e.g., Acumatica, Phocas, IQ Retail)
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Bilingual , both English and Afrikaans
