Ford Ranchero 1972 - 302W-V8 Bakkie XY Farmont GT shape - Falcon 500 UTE - Classic V8 Dream find!

1972 Ford Ranchero Bakkie / (FALCON 500 UTE in Aus), Sort after Factory supplied mustang V8 motor model plus with manual 3 speed. Assembled by FORD SA in PE and the lucky ones to get the diverted Mustang production V8 motors from USA. Super-Fun and practical usable van which sure turns heads and sounds amazing with its branches and Cobra type side pipes. Easy to change if want more tame sound. Surprising very original overall. Has had a blow over and luckily some has polished away and can see the cool old paint and it crazing on bonnet. Has neat floor gear shifter conversion, cab slider and original Aussie glass still. Doesn't have original rims or door mirrors, (some for sale locally or in aus if you prefer them) classifies mostly as a true survivor car. I have not seen many other original Rancheros in SA but hope their are a few left. Mostly projects that had a hard life or some clever 6 to V8 conversions and mostly auto's too. Ex Limpopo van so steel is great still and papers to date. Motor and gearbox all good and previous owner rebuilt motor and drove car drove 1000km home when purchase, but mostly driven from garage onto lawn for wash or garage change with odd Sunday or weekday cruise or to collect stuff from hardware. Few real factory V8 (Factory built them with the 5L mustang motor from US) Rancheros left and very few that have been kept on the road for 49 years with all its trim still and able to see what they looked like back in the day plus its amazing original paint in places. Papers are in order and lic up to date. Garaged mostly. Collector who knows what a hard find this spec van truly is, sure will smile to acquire this one.
