2010 BMW 1 Series Hatchback

Selling 1 series black hatchback 2010 E87 non runner. Initially I was told the problem was the battery bought a new battery still the car wouldn’t fully start it makes a sound as if it wants to start but doesn’t. Second mechanic said it has something to do with starter or bearing so anyone interested in buying may put down price, bring own mechanic to diagnose then negotiate the price. I may be relocating
