1980 Ford Cortina Bakkie, Mk4

Bakkie us in a great condition. No joy rides will be entertained.
4 original rims were made wider to 8J
New 195 tyres were fitted.(1500 Kms)
Spare is new on original rim with same circumference as the other 4 tires.
Prop shaft has been overhauled with new universals and slider.
Left front wheel bearings and seal has been replaced.
Motor has been rebuilt(711M block). Done about 1500 Km’s
Machining was done by Bastings according to discussed tolerances. Line bore was done. Crank was ground to bearing size. Sleeves were bored to numbered pistons.
Sleeves bored to 60 thou
Crank ground to 10 thou.
Crank, pulley, Flywheel and pressure plate was balanced by Finlay Turbines.
1300 Pistons and connecting rods were balanced at the same time.
Ported Head with standard valves. Ports matching intake and exhaust
286 deg Cam ground by Master Cams
Viper 4-1 Branch is fitted
2 x 40 Webers side-draft carbs and Roley Stanton manifold for intake
Sump has baffle fitted to stop oil slushing during cornering and braking.
Chassis has no rust.
Rust areas in normal placed were taken care of.
Instrument cluster complemented with VDO gauges :
Volt Meter
Rev Counter
Oil pressure
Analogue Clock.
New clutch, Release bearing and pressure plate was fitted.
