However, retractable front and back legs replace the wheels and axle of a typical trailer, making it easy to load on or off a vehicle. The Klipspringer’s unique ‘RORO’ (ROLL ON, ROLL OFF) design uses an ingenious roller-assembly fitted to the underside of the frame. Once the Klipspringer’s rear legs are standing securely on the ground, the vehicle is driven slowly forward. As soon as the rear of the vehicle moves beyond the Klipspringer’s front leg frame, the front legs automatically fold out into standing position. They can then be turned outwards, thereby lifting the Klipspringer completely off the vehicle.
