The price will Depend on the car and gearbox and how much damage, must it be replaced, repaired or only serviced. Please keep in mind with every service, repair or recon gearbox oil is included in the price. Oil is mandetory for it to run smoothly without problems. Second hand gearboxes run between R14000-R17000 if it has to be replaced depending on which car it is. To work on the gearbox average is +- 5 hours Fixed amount per hour for our Mechanic is R500. Service parts is charged separately aswell as the parts to repair. 50% of the amount will be required upfront for service and repair parts. Gearboxes must be paid in full before so that the gearbox can be ordered and be delivered in time for installation. The company don't deliver if the amount is not fully paid.
