ROPE ACCESS TECHNICIAN

• Key Responsibilities
• • High-Access Work: Perform maintenance, building repairs, inspections, and installations at height, such as building facades.
  • Safety Adherence: Execute rope maneuvers and rigging while following strict safety procedures (e.g., IRATA standards).
  • Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain personal and team rope access equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Technical Tasks: Perform high rise buildings and industrial tasks, including, but not limited to, plastering, painting general repairs.
  • Risk Management: Conduct site surveys, hazard identification, and, if required, rescue operations. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• • Certification: Valid Rope Access certification (e.g., IRATA or local regulatory bodies like IWH) Level 1, 2, or 3.
  • Health and Safety: Valid Working at Heights certificate and a valid medical fitness certificate.
  • Physical Fitness: Excellent physical condition, including the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in difficult environments.
• Experience: Previous experience in construction, maintenance, or related industries is typically required. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Levels of Certification

• Level 1: Performs routine, supervised, and approved rope access tasks.
• Level 2: Experienced in rescue, and more complex tasks under supervision.
• Level 3: Supervises projects, prepares safety plans, and leads rescues. [1, 2]

• Construction & Civil Engineering: Inspection, repair, and installation.
