How we go about preparing a quote?

Grid Tied or Hybrid or Off Grid

Step 1:

Send through the following:

Street \address\suburb – With this we can get a satellite image of your property of which assists us in calculating the space availability on your property for Solar Panels.

· Electricity/Rates and Taxes for the past 3 to 12 months (the more the merrier) – Better still do a excel spreadsheet x month and list the kw you have been charged by the council in those months. The electricity accounts help us to identify how you use your electricity as well as how much electricity you consume on a monthly basis. Ultimately assisting us in roughly sizing a suitable system for your property as well as being able to show you the financial gain in your investment into solar.

· Water Consumption - there are going to be a water restrictions like nothing we have experienced before. Do a spreadsheet as well listing kilolitre’s used per month and cost so that we can keep this in mind as well in providing a full OFF GRID solution for you.

· Number of Standard Electric Geysers and their capacity - ie 1 x 150 l and 1 x 200 l and approximate age.

With the above detail in place we can roughly size a system suitable for your property as well as identify a budget area you would fit into in order to go Green with your electricity.

Once you are happy with our proposed budget/Solution, we then move to step 2.

Step 2:

Step 2 involves obtaining more data to ensure we correctly size the system to suit your property. The last thing we want is to over or undersize your Solar solution, ultimately resulting in it costing you additional unnecessary money.

Additional data is obtained by installing a temporary electricity meter "LOGGER" in your DB board that allows us to view your consumption over a 2 week period. We charge a flat fee of R1 500 for this service (negotiable) of which covers our meter usage as well as travel to your premises, installation, removal and finally compiling of a detailed report indicating the data obtained from the metering.

From this data we finalise the sizing and design of your system and of course we can then issue a formal quotation based on the final design.

We also have a DRONE with a high resolution camera, that we can fly over your property to see the quality of the roof and closer inspection and accurate measurements.

Scalability and Upgradeable Installations.

We suggest that you install roof racking to take up to 16-24 (4 panels per 4.2 m racks) panels so that each quarter any spare cash you have you can buy more panels and simply call us to come and hook them up to the system. Even add in additional empty roof racking (4 panels per 4.2 m racks) and fill up when budget permits.
