This book provides excellent support for learning Turkish. Because it contains very little English, it's really only appropriate in conjunction with a class. In the past, I've tried to learn Turkish in the way I'd learned French -- memorizing vocabulary and the differences in grammar rules. However, because Turkish is so different from English (and French), it's really better to abandon that model and learn it as an entirely new concept rather than drawing parallels. This book abandons the vocabulary lists and pages upon pages of verb conjugations and instead teaches you how people really speak Turkish.
