Job Description
Title: Barista
Reports To: Food and Beverage Manager

Directly responsible for the service quality of all food and beverage services for the Resort.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Ensure wastage and stock items are controlled at all times.
2. Look presentable at all times with a smile on your face.
3. Greet and seat guests according to Company service standards.
4. Ensure Menu specific knowledge of all dishes presentation and preparation.
5. Take orders from patrons for food or beverages to the required Company standards.
6. Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to
correct any problems.
7. Serve food and/or beverages to patrons according to company service standards.
8. Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters, and take them to kitchen for
cleaning according to the service standards of the Company.
9. Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making
recommendations upon request.
10. Inform customers of daily specials or any items which are out of stock.
11. Clean tables and/or counters after patrons have finished dining.
12. Prepare hot, cold, and mixed drinks for patrons, and chill bottles of wine.
13. Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and
14. Perform food preparation duties such as preparing salads, appetizers, and cold
dishes, portioning desserts, and brewing coffee.
15. Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens.
16. Fill salt, pepper, sugar, condiment, and serviette containers.
17. Fold and set all tables according to Company standards.
18. Escort customers to their tables.
19. Describe and recommend wines to customers.
20. Bring wine selections to tables with appropriate glasses, and pour the wines for

22. Set up tables for any functions or conferences as required.
23. Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements at all times.
