Roll-Back Tow Truck Driver Duties:
1. Vehicle Recovery: Operate roll-back tow trucks to safely and efficiently recover disabled or stranded vehicles from various locations, including highways, residential areas, and parking lots.
2. Loading and Securing Vehicles: Load vehicles onto the tow truck bed using hydraulic ramps or winches, ensuring proper alignment and secure attachment to prevent damage during transport.
3. Transportation: Transport vehicles to designated destinations, such as repair shops, service centers, or impound yards, following prescribed routes and adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
4. Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations governing towing operations, including the use of safety equipment, proper vehicle loading procedures, and secure tie-down techniques.
5. Customer Interaction: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, providing assistance and reassurance during vehicle recovery and transport, and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
6. Emergency Response: Respond to emergency calls for vehicle recovery, accidents, breakdowns, or other roadside assistance situations, prioritizing prompt and efficient service to minimize customer inconvenience.
7. Vehicle Inspection: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tow trucks and equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify any maintenance or repair needs, reporting any issues to management promptly.
8. Documentation: Complete required paperwork and documentation for each tow, including towing authorization forms, vehicle condition reports, and customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
9. Route Planning: Plan and optimize towing routes to minimize travel time and fuel consumption, considering factors such as traffic conditions, distance, and customer priorities.
10. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on tow trucks, including checking fluid levels, inspecting tires and brakes, and performing minor repairs or adjustments to ensure safe and reliable operation.
11. Professional Development: Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in towing and recovery operations, participating in training programs and continuing education opportunities as needed.
12. Team Collaboration: Coordinate with dispatchers, service technicians, and other team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination of towing and repair services, contributing to overall customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
