A Service Advisor acts as the key link between auto customers and technicians, greeting them, understanding vehicle issues, explaining necessary repairs/maintenance, providing cost/time estimates, scheduling work, and ensuring satisfaction by communicating updates and explaining final charges, requiring strong communication, problem-solving, and automotive knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Interaction: Greet customers, listen to concerns, answer questions, and handle complaints.
  • Estimates & Scheduling: Prepare accurate repair order estimates (labor/parts) and set delivery times.
  • Liaison: Translate technical issues from mechanics to customers and customer requests to mechanics.
  • Sales & Advising: Recommend additional services, explain maintenance, and offer product/service information.
  • Administration: Schedule appointments, update records, and process payments/invoices.
