General Details
Description
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of designing and reading electrical drawings in order to do fault finding
- Understand the principles of refrigeration and cooling systems (experience would be beneficial)
- As an Artisan, be production-orientated
- Knowledge of generators
- Familiarity with management principles and job card systems
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Driver's license & own transport required
- Grade 12
- Qualified (Red Seal Certificate)
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and needs for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance
- Test electrical systems and the continuity of circuit in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures
- Run electronic test and inspections
- Conduct maintenance stock takes of maintenance spares and ensure that there is enough stock on hand
- Monitor and check setters and hatchers for proper operation
- Monitor and check ventilation (i.e. heaters, coolers and inside room conditions)
- Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on hatchery equipment
- Attend to all electrical faults on hatchery setter and incubator machines
- Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools
