Senior Marketing Coordinator

My client based in the Northern Suburbs, focusing in the Academic industry is seeking to employ an experienced Senior Marketing Coordinator to help in the companyâ??s overall marketing and branding efforts.

You will be responsible for the development and execution of marketing plans to reach targets from brand awareness to product promotion. You should be a competent professional and able to grasp consumer behaviour trends and generate creative ideas. You should also be well-versed in specialized marketing concepts, principles and tactics. The goal is to deliver effective marketing programs that will help our reputation and growth.


Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, communications or equivalent.

Proven experience as marketing specialist or similar role (5 years or more).

Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/Social media etc.) and market research methods.

Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools.

Demonstrable experience in digital marketing/social media.

Experience in Digital Design for Social media advertising.

Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.

MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word), marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite & CRM) and applications (Web analytics, Google AdWords, WordPress etc.).

Knowledge of HTML, CSS and web development tools (e.g. Dreamweaver) desired

Well-organized and detail oriented.

Exceptional communication and writing skills (exceptional use of written English).

Commercial awareness partnered with a creative mind.

Key areas of performance:

Market research.

Brand management.

Marketing Management.

Marketing Campaigns.

Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (social media, e-mail, Newsletters etc.).

Assist in analysing marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies.

Budget management.

Marketing collateral e.g. roller banners, brochures, business cards etc.

Websites, Digital and online marketing.

Organising events (product launches, webinars, workshops, staff functions, conferences, etc.).

General Administration and management.
