Senior Financial Accountant

A well-established organisation in Graaff-Reinet, operating in the broader pet and nutrition space, is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of essential accounting operations while developing and guiding a dedicated team. Youll manage the fixed assets, accounts payable, treasury, and month-end reporting ensuring that each area operates with the same consistency, care, and reliability youd expect in any well-managed ecosystem.

This role is perfect for a hands-on Accountant who can bring structure to busy operations, uplift team performance, and strengthen the financial "backbone" supporting the organisations growth.

ð??? Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full fixed asset function with accurate tracking and compliance
• Manage accounts payable with strong controls and smooth processing
• Take charge of cashbook and treasury activities, including accurate daily cash management
• Lead the month-end close process and deliver dependable financial reporting
• Lead and support a team of 8, fostering accountability, development, and teamwork
• Improve financial accuracy and flow by refining systems and processes
• Assist with internal and external audits through organised, transparent documentation
• Apply system knowledge to streamline accounting operations

ð?§  What You Bring:

• Completed BCom Degree (minimum requirement)
• At least 3 years experience, with 35 years in accounting roles
• Strong experience in fixed assets, accounts payable, treasury/cashbooks, and month-end reporting
• Proven leadership of a team of 8 direct reports
• Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 is advantageous
• A leadership style built on structure, accuracy, and developing people to perform at their best
