Bookkeeping & HR Assistant (4-Month Contract – Possibility of Permanent Position)
Reason for Reporting
We’re a growing retail company with 22 branches nationwide, looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Bookkeeping & HR Assistant.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with bookkeeping and basic accounting tasks on Xero
- Support payroll processing and issue payslips
- Assist with HR administration, including employee records, leave tracking, and general HR queries
- Provide support with day-to-day office and administrative duties
- Be proactive, organised, and able to learn quickly
Requirements:
- Basic bookkeeping knowledge
- Experience with Xero (beneficial)
- Familiarity with HR processes and payroll administration
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Contract: 4-month fixed term half day position (with the possibility of becoming a permanent position based on performance)
Location: Strand, Western Cape (Must be a resident of the Helderberg Area)
Start Date: 5 January 2026
