The Reservations Consultant will report to the Reservations Manager, this role is responsible for accurately handling reservation enquiries, groups, and provisional bookings while delivering exceptional service in a luxury hospitality environment.

- Manage all reservation enquiries, calls, and emails promptly and professionally.
- Process and administer group bookings and provisional reservations, ensuring accuracy in the PMS.
- Verify rates, confirmations, deposits, guest information, and special requests.
- Maintain organised records, guest history, booking accuracy, and statistical data.
- Review daily arrivals and ensure all reservations are fully confirmed, especially during peak periods.
- Maximise revenue through strategic upselling and adherence to cancellation/no-show policies.
- Stay fully informed on room types, facilities, promotions, rates, and all third-party booking channels.
- Communicate booking details and guest requirements to Operations, Sales, and Front Office teams.
- Identify and share sales leads; assist with pre-bookings for facilities and experiences.
- Build strong professional relationships with guests, agents, and internal staff.
- Uphold service standards, maintain a positive attitude, and support general departmental requirements.
- Matric; hospitality or travel/tourism qualification advantageous.
- 23 years experience in a reservations role, ideally within a luxury or 5-star environment.
- Knowledge of PMS systems and solid understanding of OTAs.
- Must live in Stellenbosch or its immediate surrounds.
- Strong sales ability with a guest-focused approach.
- Excellent communication skillswritten and verbal.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages beneficial.
- Willing and able to work rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Strong understanding of domestic/international travel, groups, FIT, and business travel.
