General Details
Description
My client, a well established concern within retail has a vacancy at their head office for a Financial Accountant with a B.Comm degree, completed articles and 2 year post article experience.
Duties (but not limited to):
Bank processing
All Income statement & Balance Sheet reconciliations to prepare
VAT calculations, reconciliations & submissions on E-fling (non-negotiable)
Monthly & annual accounting journals
Review of Payroll schedules, reconciliations & payments
Review Debtors invoices, statements & follow up on outstanding balances
Review Creditor reconciliations & payments
Assist in monthly Management Reports (Balance Sheets & Income Statements)
Inventory (to calculate, follow up & resolve variances)
Maintaining files & supporting documents
Any ad hoc duties in Finance Department

High computer literacy
Pastel Evolution knowledge will be a strong advantage
Excellent reconciliation skills & financial applicable technical knowledge
Extensive knowledge of current VAT legislation.
Advanced Excel skills essential
