Senior Accountant (Contract)

We are seeking an experienced, "hands-on" Senior Accountant for a full-time contract role. The ideal candidate is a highly competent professional who can independently manage our entire accounting function from start to finish.

This is a "doer" role for a self-starter who has the proven technical ability to handle all financial and statutory requirements.

• Manage the complete, full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting function.

• Independently prepare and draft Annual Financial Statements (AFS).

• Prepare and manage the full audit process, including liaising with external auditors and preparing all files.

• Handle all statutory compliance, including the preparation and submission of VAT, PAYE, and CIPC returns.

• Provide financial analysis and administrative support to management as needed.

• Essential: You must have significant, verifiable experience in a similar, full-function accounting role.

• Essential: Proven, practical experience in drafting Annual Financial Statements (AFS) is non-negotiable.

• Essential: Demonstrable experience in managing an audit process.

• Highly Preferred: Direct experience in the body corporate / sectional title environment will be a major advantage.

• A formal qualification is a plus, but your practical experience and ability to "do the job" are the most important factors.
