Financial Statement Compiler (Contract)

We are looking for a technically strong and efficient Financial Statement Compiler to assist with the drafting and finalization of Annual Financial Statements (AFS).

This is a focused role for a specialist who enjoys the technical aspect of assembling financials. You will take the books from Trial Balance stage and produce a fully compliant set of Financial Statements ready for audit or sign-off.

• Drafting AFS: Convert Trial Balances into full Annual Financial Statements (AFS) in accordance with IFRS for SMEs.

• Adjustments: Process year-end journal entries, including depreciation, accruals, and tax computations.

• Audit Preparation: Prepare the accounting file and lead schedules to ensure the AFS are audit-ready.

• Query Resolution: Clear technical queries raised by external auditors regarding the AFS.

• Tax: Perform tax computations (Income Tax and Deferred Tax) for inclusion in the AFS.

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years of pure financial statement drafting experience (preferably in an accounting firm environment).

• Software: High proficiency in financial drafting software is essential (e.g., CaseWare, Draftworx, or similar).

• Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of IFRS for SMEs and the Companies Act.

• Industry: Experience with various industries will be an advantage.

• Education: Relevant Accounting qualification/degree or equivalent practical experience.
