This long-established company Mount Edgecombe has a vacancy for an experienced Bookkeeper for a portfolio of diverse clients.
Duties will include:
Ad-hoc administrative tasks
Bookkeeping to financial statement level
Credit control, monthly reconciliations and collection of debts.
Client queries and enquiries
Maintain a diary for recurring matters.
Maintain a Property Plant and Equipment Register.
Maintain a system for filing and retention of records.
Preparation of monthly management accounts.
Prepare journal entries.
Prepare VAT201 returns with supporting documents.
Prepare EMP201/501 returns with supporting documents.
Prepare UI19 / COIDA returns
Prepare working papers and schedules for external auditor.
Process Customer invoicing, statements and credit control - local and foreign.
Process Supplier invoices, statements and credit control – local and foreign.
Reconciliation of Customers, Suppliers and Inventory control accounts.
Accounting Diploma or Degree or in final year
MSOffice – Excel, Word, Outlook
Sage Partner Accounting
Sage One – Cloud
At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position preferably completed SAICA articles.
Experience in Trusts, Body Corporates and services-companies will be advantageous.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
