Description
Minimum Qualifications:
Daily tasks:
- Tertiary qualification - Accounting (B.Com/Diploma)
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar role
- MS Office
- SAGE or similar experience would be beneficial
- Process driven
- Computer Literate
- Self-motivated
- Excellent communication skills
- Pro-active thinking
Daily tasks:
- Prepare and present highlighting cost variances and recommending necessary actions
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits and reconcile discrepancies
- Identify areas of potential cost improvement and work closely with the operations team to implement efficiency measures
- Stay updated with industry trend regulations, and best practices in cost accounting
- Balancing of tonnages, dispatches vs. Invoiced at month-end
- Assist with planning, compiling and finalising of stock counts
- Ensuring stock costings are done correctly and in line with daily manufacturing
