ASSET MANAGEMENT ADVISORS are required on a 3-year lucrative contract to support in the implementation of the MUNICIPAL FINANCE IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMME (MIFP).
QUALIFICATION: Masters/Honours Degree (NQF8)/Degree (NQF7) qualification obtained in:
• Financial Management, Accounting, Public Administration/Management, Business Administration/Management or relevant/ related field.
GENERAL EXPERTISE: 5 or more number of years’ experience in Local Government financial management of a component thereof. 3 or more years’ experience in managerial positions.
SPECIFIC EXPERTISE: Demonstrated knowledge of the MFMA, and experience in municipal finance operations, implementing financial reforms and performance improvement initiatives.
With respect to experience in financial management operations and reforms, relevant components linked to the specific scope of work include, but not limited to:
· Asset Management Policies
· Asset Management SOPs
· Asset Accounting
· Asset Internal Controls
5 or more years’ experience in municipal finance operations, implementing reforms and performance improvement initiatives.
