An Accountant

The successful candidate must hold a BCom qualification and bring 35 years of solid accounting experience. Exposure to the full finance functionincluding general ledger, reconciliations, trial balance, and preparation up to financial statementsis essential. Proficiency in BuildSmart is a non-negotiable requirement for this role.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage the full financial function, including GL, reconciliations, and TB.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
• Oversee cost allocations and support project-related financial processes.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all financial records.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support operational and financial decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience:

• BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• 35 years relevant accounting experience.
• Construction industry experience advantageous.
• BuildSmart experience essential (non-negotiable).
• Strong technical background with exposure to the full financial function.
• Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
