Financial Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of day-to-day financial processing and payment functions for smaller group entities
• Prepare journals, complete reconciliations, and update TB accounts in line with IFRS
• Identify financial risks and ensure strict adherence to internal policies and Delegation of Authority
• Support audits, year-end cycles, and continuous process improvement
• Compile and capture flash, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting packs in SAP
• Manage inter-company confirmations and prepare annual financial statements
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes, including cash flow reporting to treasury
• Support project accounting, including budget control, spend tracking, and management input
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal SHEQ, environmental, and energy policies
• Execute ad hoc reporting and support group financial functions as required

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• BCom Accounting or equivalent Degree (essential)
• Minimum 3 years experience in a finance or accounting role
• Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS
• Advanced Excel, and experience with SAP S/4 Hana (advantageous)
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
• Strong planning, organisation, and reporting ability
• Adaptable, innovative, and comfortable in a technical engineering environment
