Description
What Youll Do
- Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring structure, accuracy, and strong performance
- Oversee full month-end processes, journals, reconciliations, GL management, and reporting
- Manage cash flow, daily banking, cashbooks, credit card transactions, and petty cash
- Oversee debtor follow-ups, age analysis reviews, customer account approvals, and collections
- Manage supplier reconciliations, payment runs, credit notes, and escalated creditor queries
- Handle SARS submissions (VAT201, EMP201) and all annual compliance requirements
- Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
- Prepare complete audit files and manage auditor engagements
- Oversee payroll processing, statutory payments, COIDA, ETI, and HR-linked finance tasks
- Drive process improvement, internal controls, and strong financial discipline across the business
- Assist management with financial insights and support strategic decisions
- Relevant finance qualification
- 5+ years full accounting experience, including month-end and reporting
- Previous experience leading or coordinating finance staff
- Strong understanding of tax, payroll, compliance, and audits
- Advanced Excel and strong accounting systems knowledge
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- A proactive, analytical, solutions-driven approach
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure
