Financial Accountant (Manufacturing Division)

Purpose of the Role:

To manage the full financial accounting function for the South African manufacturing entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and support for operational efficiency within a high-volume, multi-plant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee general ledger management, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Prepare management accounts and financial statements for the South African companies.
• Manage tax, VAT, and statutory submissions in compliance with South African regulations.
• Support cost accounting and stock control functions in collaboration with production teams.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Provide financial insight to improve plant performance and cost efficiency.
• Work closely with the Financial Manager and EXCO to ensure accurate reporting and budgeting.

Requirements:

• BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification (completed articles advantageous).
• Willing to work overtime.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (e.g. Syspro, SAP, or similar).
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
