She is a 50’ solid monohull ketch with a hull length of 38’ (12 m). She was designed, built and rigged for safety on the KISS principles for relaxed and challenging adventures alike. Built in South Africa beyond her specs for our difficult conditions and launched in 2003.
Inside she is roomy with rustic wooden furnishings, while outside the deck is very safe for work and pleasure and the hull can withstand scrapes with rocks and reefs - and other boats :).
Morwenna easily navigates open ocean waters and tight spots with a strong engine that can push her to hull speed, various self-steering methods, and a full set of sails for heavy weather and light wind conditions, plus spares.
I usually sailed Morwenna solo though sometimes with crew, and we had lots of fun on her and she kept us safe in all conditions.
Morwenna is in turn key condition and ready for her next circumnavigation adventure.
