A trusted and well established client of ours in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Scaffolding Manager to undertake major construction projects within the Oil and Gas sector.
The Scaffolding Manager will work with the area Construction Manager/ and Subcontractors Scaffolding teams to insure the following:

To operate within the organizations management team and provide the company with a single point of responsibility between our customer, sub-contractor and company at all organization levels.
The position holder will report directly to the *OPERATIONS MANAGER *
* Manage all lifecycles of the allocated project/contract from start to finish within budget to the agreed timeline. This includes:
* Achieving the overall targeted “GP” as set out in the contract analysis sheet.
* Maintaining the budgets set out in the contract analysis sheet with the assistance of the project cost accountant. Any variations must be reported to management. Budgets are to be reviewed weekly. At no time whatsoever shall a contract file, information or drawings leave the premises without prior official consent being given by a Director of the Company.
* You are responsible for achieving all delivery dates per department to the agreed delivery schedule for the duration of the lifecycle.
* You are required to meet weekly with various line manages to make certain your deliverables are being achieved (design, manufacturing, electrical).
* Attend management meetings hosted every two weeks and report to management on progress of your allocated projects (Wednesday`s at 9am).
* Management of project files ensuring all contractual information is filed correctly in the appropriate contract file (hard copy only). This must include purchase orders, correspondence between client, supplier, sub-contractor or any staff member that has specific information relating to the contract, layout drawings, delivery notes etc…
* Travel to and from site as and when required in order to achieve the desired result.
* All site meetings between client, supplier, sub-contractor or staff member are correctly minuted and filed in the specific contract file with all corresponding information. Any verbal agreements “must” be followed up in writing to the parties involved and filed away in the relevant project folder.
* Organization between appointed sub-contractors / Dale installation crews in place with all relevant paperwork in place before work commences. Penalties and payment terms agreed upfront and signed for before orders are placed.
* Site management which could include forklift hire, crane hire, scaffold systems, storage containers, labor requirements, airfares, crew travel arrangements and accommodation will be your responsibility to arrange
* RFQ and Purchasing of critical project components which will include gearboxes, evaporators, fans, belts, enclosures, refrigeration, electrical equipment, various foreign equipment as per the contract file, logistic planning. All paper work associated with the insurance, delivery, installation, commissioning and handover of the contract.Auditing site time sheets with the aid of the vehicle tracker system on a weekly basis. You are required to sign off the weekly site time sheets.

* Supervise and coordinate all Engineering services activities and personnel, including sub-contractors.
* Ensure all Engineering services equipment and tools are suitably maintained and tested.
* Ensure all services are being carried out to the correct standards.
* Ensure that tasks are being executed safely and effectively
* Manage scaffolding in such a way to keep standing time to an absolute minimum
* Ensure that scaffolding or other access options are available when required

* QUALIFICATONS and EXPERIENCE
* Minimum of 3-year financial degree
* Post Graduate degree will be advantageous
* Minimum of 5 years experience in collections and credit management, with 3 years experience in supervisory or management role
* Experience working in a medium to large organization
POSITION OUTPUTS
Plan:
* Plan the execution of work as per the notifications generated from all internal clients across the company
* Plan the execution of work in line with the engineering standards, strategies and asset integrity philosophies for equipment, plant, machinery, and mechanical installations
* Plan and manage the execution of annual maintenance shutdowns from a services point of view.
* Ensure open and constructive communication takes place with all stakeholders.
* Plan the leave, training, and development for the sub-ordinates in line with the maintenance strategies developed for the department
* Develop and implement site compliance to statutory inspections and compliance maintenance records as per OHS Act, Regulations, SANS codes, ISO 550001 and Good Engineering Procedures.
Supervise and Coordinate:
* Ensure the adequate resources (internal and external) are available for the execution of the work to meet statutory and quality requirements. The resources here mentioned include personnel, equipment, material and consumable resources. Organize resources to execute work in compliance to statutory and quality requirements.
* Ensure that tasks are being executed safely and effectively.
* Support other managers and engineers in the engineering team in the execution of plant maintenance and adherence to SHERQ requirements.
Lead:
* Be the OHS Section 8.2 legal appointee and custodian for the fabricated installations throughout the company site.
