*Day-to-day*
* Perform service maintenance and repairs on equipment / machinery according to sound engineering practices and equipment specifications
* Read diagrams/schematics for work procedures
* Perform preventative maintenance work
* Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations, manufacturing and Company standards
* Report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the Foreman and FSM
* Develop, modify, construct and install related equipment required for the safe operation of all engineering equipment
* Identify spares requirements and order according to departmental procedure
* Field Mechanics are required to keep proper inventory of parts
* Communicate with clients and supervisors to inform on maintenance activities performed and re-start of equipment
* Create and maintain job cards
* Provide feedback on work performed by Workshop
* Work overtime, standby and be available for call-outs when required
* Ensure Google Inspections are up to date
*Physical Job Demands*
* Exposure to weather – Exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions caused by weather
* Atmospheric Conditions – Exposure to conditions such as fumes, noxious odors, dusts, mists, and gases
* Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when applicable
* Required to travel to job sites for a week or more at a time in a designated area.
* Must be able to work long periods of time, including nights and weekends
* Must have efficient eye-hand coordination
* Must be able to perform physical labor involved frequent lifting (over 25 kgs.), carrying, bending and shoveling
