The gramophone is known as a "Victrola" because it has an internal horn and the doors were used to control the volume. The machine is in beautiful condition and plays perfectly. For more information contact Phil

Antique but only partially working gramophone for sale. The base is in good condition. The motor and winder looks to be working fine, but the turntable appears to be slightly buckled, causing the record to sway a little as it spins. Also the part where the sound box connects with the suspending arm is loose (perhaps missing a part) and looks to be causing the needle to lift off the swaying record as it spins (probably because there is not enough pressure down onto the record). In summary, the gramophone is working in essence but needs love and attention by a collector / enthusiast who has the means and time to do the necessary repairs.R 1750

I'm looking to buy old Gramophone records made by the Pathe company in the late 1890s and early 1900s. These records are different from the majority of the old '78's produced in the same era because they worked on a vertical "hill and dale" type groove rather than the more common lateral groove. The record was also cut to play from the center outwards. The easiest way to identify these records is by looking at the label which will have the name Pathe on it. If you have any of these records, please contact me as I have restored a Pathe player that only works with Pathe records but I don't have a single one to play!
Phonograph for a passionate collector His Master Voice (the Gramophone Company Ldt. Hayes Middlesex), originally boxed (41x28x15 cxm.), marked Laurence & Cope, Bulawayo and Salisbury; in pertfect working order + original BIEM record plate: “Cavalleria Rusticane” recorded 1943, tenor Tito Schipa (titles: front “viva il vino spumeggiante”, back “O Lola…). If interested, make an offer.
Don't waste good music records by making under plates and bowl out of them, they still have some life in them. I'll try and find a good home for your vinyl lp records. If you are feeling blue don't worry I can assist you with recording your music to CD. Willing to pay reasonable prices depending on condition and worth. Bring it all LP'S, 78, singles. Bring your old turntables working or not someone might just need a spare.
