Our e-commerce department is looking for a dedicated and passionate e-commerce copywriter to generate product and marketing-related copy that provides customers with all the information they need in order to make a purchase decision. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the eCommerce team to drive increased conversions and sales on a day-to-day basis, via numerous digital platforms as well as in-store.Key duties Create ‘best in class’ product copy across multiple product categoriesPrioritise and complete work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, to meet internal and external deadlinesAlign with merchandise teams and perform fact-checking to ensure accuracy and completeness of informationEnsure consistency of content across numerous platforms and formats as well as alignment with the relevant brand tonePerform regular QA and website audits to ensure website content is of the highest standardCarry our regular competitor analysis and research in order to align with industry best practiceRespond to issues or queries from customers and internal or external teams as neededGain a thorough understanding of our business, competitors and customersArticulate and share insights, learnings and best practice with all relevant stakeholdersBring forward recommendations and processes to enhance speed and scale of content development and rolloutWrite and/or proofread articles, blogs and digital content before publicationBrainstorming and collaborate with the team for new ideas and strategies Knowledge, experience and qualifications At least two years’ experience in a similar positionMatric and related tertiary education in digital/ eCommerceHigh-level understanding of web design and web analysisUnderstanding of SEO and e-commerce copywriting best practicesExperience with e-commerce platforms and Google AnalyticsKnowledge of digital marketing channels such as PPC, SEO, display & affiliate marketingProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically MS Excel)Domain knowledge in e-commerce, retail, online advertising and/or analytics Competencies Goal-oriented and self-motivated – must be able to work independently with minimal supervisionFlexible and adaptable – must enjoy working in a fast-paced and at times challenging environmentAbility to work cross-functionally and with a wide range of individuals with different skill setsStrong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)Strong sense of ownership and responsibility – track record of performance meeting targets & objectives‘Can do’ positive attitude – eager to grow, learn and develop your skillsDecisive, structured and organised, with a keen eye for detailFast learner with a strong aptitude for systemsPassionate about o
