installer and seller of audio-visual and lighting equipment and related
components to the corporate, retail, education, staging, entertainment and
commercial industry seeks the services of a learner technician/installer.
Duties and responsibilities: will include and is certainly not limited
to:
- Installation and disassembly, servicing, repairing and maintenance of
audio-visual equipment at events, shows, malls, education and corporate events.
- Maintenance, servicing and repair of equipment. (Audio-visual,
lighting, effects, etc)
- Erection and disassembly of equipment
- Delivery and collections of equipment.

Requirements:

Requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent.
N2 â?? N3 Engineering qualification.
Trade test certificate.
+3 years experience in a production environment.
Ability to do physical labour and work at heights.
A valid driverâ??s license.
Own a reliable vehicle.
Willing to work overtime. (Shifts)
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret machine drawings to identify any problems.
Repairing of machinery as and when required (inclusive of breakdowns).
Service of machinery as per service guides.
Lubricate machinery as and when required.
Fitment of parts.
Ordering spares required to ensure machinery is maintained at an optimal condition.
Conduct preventative and routine maintenance as per machine guides.
Ensure that company tools and equipment are kept in a good condition.
Assist with production maintenance.
Assist with the training of Millwright Apprentices.
Ensure that machines are stopped if they are operating in an unsafe manner.
Ensure that the companyâ??s quality standards are met and maintained in terms of the efficiency of the companyâ??s machinery.
Adhere to the companyâ??s Health and Safety policies and procedures as well as relevant Health and Safety legislation.
Maintain general housekeeping.
Any other tasks and duties as assigned.

Description of duties:
