Job Description
Our client is seeking to employ a Business Risk Coordinator to join their team.
To ensure that commercial client contracts are managed proactively and effectively by working closely with necessary stakeholders. To proactively identify and manage areas or optimization, and drive contract focus items. To raise and manage expectations and risks in a structured, transparent way. To support with the assurance and roll out of business processes. To support with centralized document management and upkeep. To regularly conduct recons and audits to ensure compliant client contracting. To support and contribute towards the deliverables and growth of the Business risk team.
Responsibilities
Commercial Contracting:
Manage the overall contracting process within the company in a timely, proactive manner.Build relationships and work closely with key stakeholders.Draft and review commercial contracts in line with their company standards.Follow the required processes and sales mandates to ensure accurate and timely delivery of client contracts.Vet and ensure accurate commercials are presented in the weekly commercials meeting.Actively manage the client folder structures and their upkeep.Identify and define process optimization opportunities and implement where needed.Understand the overall business and how client contracting aligns to other processes or procedures.Ensure the correct processes, procedures, reporting, and documentation are available and maintained.Actively drive successful commercial contracting and work hand in hand with the necessary stakeholders.Actively drive, understand, manage, analyze, influence and report on contracting pipeline.Actively drive contracts focus items for the week and month ahead.Raise contract risk awareness and provide possible solutions where needed.Responsible for design, implementation and management of a system to deal with early warning signs and key indicators to mitigate risks in a proactive, transparent, and structured way.Regularly conduct recons and audits to ensure compliance and upkeep of their client contracting.Apply and coordinate change management where needed.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) as Head of the Responsibility Centre: Operations and Finance, the Senior Director: Operations performs the duties of this position to assist the COO with the implementation of the various objectives of the Responsibility Centre (RC). The Senior Director: Operations serves on the Management Team of the COO and will work with the Rectorate, the senior leadership of all ten faculties, as well as leadership of all Professional and Administrative Support Services.
Duties/Pligte
The purpose of this position is to strategically assist the leadership of the Responsibility Centre (RC): Operations and Finance.
* Taking responsibility to plan and facilitate the development of SUs portfolio of properties, with a focus on feasibility studies and strategic property portfolio planning;
* Functioning as the Universitys controller, including assuming responsibility for the Combined Assurance Model;
* Conducting internal risk investigations and managing the secretarial function of the Ethics Hotline Committee;
* Conducting ad hoc financial, governance and operational related investigations;
* Representing the Chief Operating Officer in operational matters of the University, as well on the boards of companies;
* Liaising with the Faculty Managers regarding the operational agendas of Faculties;
* Supporting the COO, in collaboration with the divisional heads and as a member of the Management Team of the COO, with developing and implementing an RC strategy and business plan aligned with the SU Strategy;
* Managing special projects as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer, including the analysis of business cases and development of project plans;
* Interacting with internal and external parties on behalf of the University in such special projects, including the development of terms of agreement in collaboration with SUs legal services;
* Assisting the COO in identifying and implementing improvements to business processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

LLB or LLB preferablyAdmitted Attorney1+ years 1 to 3 years of experience in Corporate, Commercial and/or real estate transaction RESPONSIBILITIES:Analyze property title and related property documentation to assess the legal feasibility to install telecommunicationtowers.Assist with preparation of various risk assessments regarding issues with property title, mortgage bonds, servitudes,the validity of contracts and restrictive conditions, including alternatives to mitigate and control such risks.Research and analyze all applicable law sources, statutes and legal precedent in order to analyze and/or form legalopinions and documentation.Assist to draft, review and negotiate a wide range of legal contracts and agreements.Assist with general asset/ real estate management matters.Assist with registration of properties and contracts at the offices of the Deeds Registry of South Africa.Assist to prepare and coordinate corporate and regulatory filings.Maintain corporate records.Preparation of legal letters, memorandums and reports.Coordinate and implement projects to improve the internal in country legal processes of the company.Resolve issues related to ground leases and permits, which may require in country travel.Assist with general litigation control, including the updating of the litigation trackers with the control of deadlinesand scheduled hearings etc.Assist the Asset Optimization department in the market (purchases, extensions, amendments and abatements).General legal advisor responsibilities and the ability to resolve routine legal and real estate issues.Legal due diligence with respect to Merger and Acquisition transactions and their corresponding MLAs in saleleaseback deals.Other projects and duties as assigned.
