Responsibilities:

• Produce the management accounts and perform the month end close process
• Maintenance of fixed asset registers (including accounting for additions and disposals)
• Periodic insurance reviews and update of insurance values through direct communication with the companies insurance brokers
• Submission of statutory returns to SARS, and any further detailed information/reconciliations related to those submissions that may be requested.
• Produce the annual financial statements and prepare the necessary supporting working papers that may be required for the annual financial audits
• Attending to general financial administrative matters which includes communication with our service providers, (various Banks, Lessors, the Companys Distribution Centre, and External Auditors) Skills and Qualification required:
• Bcom Accounting Honours with 3 to 4 years post qualification experience
• Alternatively a CASA with 2 years post article experience
• Grade 12 Matric Certification
• 3 Years Retail Experience (advantageous)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Quick learner and efficient
• An approach which focuses on getting the work done correctly

The duties and responsibilities of the role are: Daily/weekly/monthly pmnt processing on bank. Bookkeeping to TB, including job costing and reporting relating to job costing. Final TB journals and entries – full balance sheet recons. Monthly financial reporting. Asset register management. Oversee of payroll administrator. Oversee creditors clerk. Liaison with bank, fleet management, RMB, facilities, etc. HR function (in conjunction with external company). Monthly cash flow forecasts. Monthly payroll processing, time keeping, leave forms, contracts of employment. Monthly management reporting. Job costing, fuel spend. VAT, PAYE (EMP201 + EMP501), MEIBC, BIBC and WCA. Management and execution of the annual BBBEE process, including EE (in conjunction with external companies). Sales invoices. Preparation & payment of subcontractor payment certificates. An International Financial Services company is looking for hardworking and dedicated Senior and Junior Accountants to join their head office based in Cape Town. You will be part of team that is responsible for the full accounting function, including fund accounting, invoicing, payments, bank reconciliation as well as preparation of management reports as required.
*Duties and responsibilities:*
Review of monthly and quarterly fund statements.
Performance of reconciliations between fund statements and 3rd party reports.
Performance of ad hoc investigations and reports when requested.
Review of invoices and payover files.
Reconciling claims against invoices.
Compile and review monthly source data in order to generate invoices, sales reports and management reports.
Perform collection reconciliations on a monthly basis.
Preparation of statements.

Perform investment income calculations based on current interest rates.
