This Delta Milwaukee Homecraft Shaper/Spindle Moulder comes from the late 1930's but is still going strong. The solid machine sits on a sturdy custom-made wooden table and allows work pieces to be fed into the cutting blades from either the left or the right side. This is due to a lever that can be switched to change the rotation of the cutting knives in the opposite direction. That makes it possible to adjust the machine to the workflow and layout of your workshop. It is also possible to adjust the left and right side of the fence individually.

The height adjustment of the cutter is super easily done by the movement of a large lever. Another lever is then used to fix the height adjustment so that it does not alter its height during operation. An adjustable mitre gauge can be used to move work pieces safely along the fence.

Included in the offer are 20+ moulding cutterhead knives, some of which have never been used before and are still in the original plastic packaging. The original booklets from the time are also included and give a glimpse into how the craftsmen of yesteryear approached their work.

This Shaper/Spindle Moulder does basically perform the same function as a modern handheld router mounted upside down onto a router table, but is much more powerful due to its large cutting heads that a normal router is just too weak and unsuitable to perform. The Shaper/Spindle Moulder is ideal if you have to do a lot of mouldings.
