Puppy Dog Whelping Box

Once you know that your dog is pregnant, it's a good idea to get everything ready, including a whelping box.

I built the Ultimate Whelping Box Extra Large with a fold down door.

The box measures 2.1 M X 2.4M and is 40Cm high, it also has a 20cm high fold down door, which helps the Mother to easily climb in and out. It is big enough for your dog to stretch out and turn around in. It has Protective Puppy Rails on the inside to prevent the mother from accidentally lying down on the puppies. the puppy rails are made of 50mm PVC piping and are joined using Stainless Steel domed screws.

Easily assembled and everything is labeled. The sides are made of 16mm laminated wood (easy to clean) and the screws and bolts are all Stainless Steel. The nuts on the inside are also smooth Stainless Steel dome nuts so that the Puppies do not get their paws injured as they grow up and begin standing against the sides.

We used it four our Bernese Mountain Dog litter and is now no longer needed after 6 weeks.
