The M8 air mattress is an effective alternating overlay system combined with static therapy mode. By having 17 pcs of 12.8 cm (5 inch) individual cells inflate and deflate alternatively in cycles patients receive their adequate pressure relief. The system can be switched to a static mode to facilitate all kinds of nursing procedures including dressing changes. With air pressure dial adjustment, the M8 mattress is easy to use and is recommended for patients at medium to high risk of pressure ulcers up to stage III.

How does the M6 Alternating Pressure Mattress work?

The mattress achieves this by inflating and deflating the pockets of air ,that make up the mattress, in a regulating pattern. This offers pressure relief as well as improving air circulation that are significantly linked to bedsores.

Alternating function
The pump will be inflate and deflate every other cell in order to relieve contact between the patient and lying surface. This promotes blood circulation and assists in the prevention and recovery of bedsores, formally known as pressure-ulcers.The mattress is also installed with a pillow functionality, the cells of the head region will stay inflated in order to provide utmost comfort for the patient.
