Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (Injection Moulding)Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (injection moulding) required for leading automotive company based in Pretoria. You will be responsible for monitoring and auditing manufacturing best practices and standards in the plant as well as setting up injection moulding processes to meet end product specification requirements.Responsibilities:Generate documentation on mold runs for traceability and reproducibilityWork with Quality and manufacturing departments to ensure the quality of production and products produced meet company standardsWork with production personnel to ensure molded components meet requirements and make adjustments as neededProcess development and assembly sequencing (process flow chart) for new programsUse industrial engineering methods to achieve workstation takt timeManufacture feasibility analysis (DFA/DFM) and PFMEA on new productsPlant and process layout for new products and plant launchesWrite process specifications and make recommendations regarding ergonomic improvementsWrite specifications for injection molding equipment and make recommendations for equipment procurement, including drying and feeding, cooling systems and regranulation systemsSimulate continuous improvement process in plants (KAIZEN, DO IT) with the objective of MEQWork with SDT (Simultaneous Development Team) to complete product launchesCalculate MBOM’s (Mini Bills Of Materials) for new products and work with the SDT in loading of MBOM’s into the MMS (Material Management System)Conduct MBOM audits of partsMonitor injection moulding equipment through production start-upStimulate TPM in new projectsImprovement strategies: Participate and/or lead activities for manufacturing footprint analysis, continuous improvement of new and/or ongoing manufacturing process and lean manufacturing implementationStandardize and implement manufacturing tool boxUnderstand and conform to Quality System requirements specific to process engineeringRequirements:Engineering Degree or Diploma (NQF level 5) in injection moulding, mechanical or industrial field or equivalent experienceAt least 3 years’ experience in automotive industryAt least 3-5 years’ experience as Injection mould process Engineer within the automotive industrySetting of Engel and Apex robots would be an advantageAdvanced computer literacy skills, including AUTOCAD or similarKnowledge of injection molding machines, minimizing losses and write-offsMust be able to operate injection molding equipmentAttractive package on offerShould you wish to apply please email your CV through to recruiter2@profilepersonnel.co.zaOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
