SOCIAL WORKER
Contract Position
Project Empower is looking for resourceful and ethical female social workers to provide social work services to women who have experienced gender-based violence. Positions are available in Durban, Modimolle, Pretoria and Stellenbosch.
Key Responsibilities Areas will include the following:
Providing immediate containment counselling to women in distress
Assessing client needs, developing and implementing a case management plan
Maintaining an active referral network of gender-based violence service providers
Debriefing of interviewers in a gender-based violence research project
Managing mandated reporting requirements
Supervising and supporting a social auxiliary worker.
Core Requirements
Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions as a Social Worker
At least five years social work experience, of which at least two should be in the area of gender-based violence
Fluent communication in at least two languages spoken in the area in which the incumbent will be based
Good writing skills and the proven ability to produce and maintain good written reports and case management notes
Drivers licence and a record of safe driving.

An annual salary in the region of R 250 000, cost-to-company will be negotiated in accordance with qualifications and experience.
