Durban - This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Footwear and Accessories Planning & Location Manager to take responsibility for all our client’s stores across SA. A key element of this role is to provide coaching and training to planning associates within the team, ensuring performance standards are met and that associates are developed based on the company’s strategic objectives.Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee planners and planning functionManage, review, optimize season buy-plans and merchandise budgetsControl the preparation and presentation of merchandise assortment analysisMaximise revenue, gross profit and manage aged stock and optimize stock turnsEnsure planners OTB is in accordance with merchandise plansOptimise store allocationsEnsure planners OTB is in accordance with merchandise plansManaging execution of merchandise allocation strategies to achieve balanced inventories by locationAssess and take action to maximize sales and profit by locationResponsible for developing and building “best practices” and innovative approaches for the Location Planning processCriteriaRelevant degree or diploma (BSc or BCom majoring in Economics, Finance, Supply Chain & Logistics, Retail Business Management or Statistics)5 – 7 years location planning experience in retail with a proven track record2-3 years experience as a location planning managerMS Excel – AdvancedSound financial business knowledge and acumenGood communication and team-building skillsAbility to manage and motivate peopleOracle RPAS Proficient (would be an advantage)Results-oriented
