The NCV qualifications are recognized by employers, industry bodies, and higher education institutions, providing learners with pathways to employment, entrepreneurship, and further education, including entry into universities of technology and other tertiary institutions. In an nutshell, students instead of doing the traditional Grades 10,11 and 12 can do now an NCV (Grades 10,11 and 12) in one of many fields such as IT, HR, Marketing, Administration, Agriculture etc. Students write exams from the Department of Education and certification is issued from the Umalusi Council (national certifications).
